Aesthetica Magazine is the UK’s only cultural arts magazine that covers new writing, art, music and film in one single issue. Each issue of Aesthetica is new and fresh. Aesthetica has already been identified as “sleek, energetic, progressive and destined to be one of the leading publications for the cultural arts in 2006.” Mslexia Magazine.
The current issue offers so much from just 54 pages. The new issue boasts free wall art for every reader and the latest up to date arts news, reviews, and features. Issue 14 features: interviews with artists Antoni and Alison, authors Ngugi wa Thiong’o and Carol Ann Duffy, photographer Idris Khan, interviews with Muse, Maximo Park, and an Independent Film Guide, as well as the best new writing and artwork in the UK.
The magazine also includes book, film and music reviews as well as regular sections: SciArt (this issue focusing on the link between art and science), Art Online (features on great arts websites) and finally a regular comedy column.
Aesthetica was initially started to publish new writers and artists but its intended audience has since become much wider. Aesthetica combines high quality arts news, reviews, and interviews alongside those more established in their field. Not only does Aesthetica cover new arts but it also provides a chance for readers to get involved. Each issue gives readers a new outlook or perspective.
