‘Behind The Mic’ at The Glass Bar is a monthly showcase of bright new female talents in music, comedy, poetry and performance at this unique women-only venue.
Hosted by musician / comedian Rosie Wilby (finalist Funny Women 2006. ‘her stage presence exudes warmth’ The List)
Friday 1st Feb is a special celebration of female Irish talent in association with London Irish Womens Centre. (£1 from every ticket will go towards the LIWC fund) Guests are:

Acoustic set from former Fame Academy runner up. ‘I Can’t Break Down’ was no 2 in the charts in Feb 2003. Come and see what she’s doing now!
Kal Lavelle, singer songwriter
Supported James Brown and The Beach Boys. Toured as a musician with Michael Flatley’s ‘Feet Of Flames’ in America. Winner 2FM song contest 2001.
Aoife Mannix, poet
As broadcast on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, London Live, Resonance FM and the BBC World Service.
