Two great days
Your ticket gets you in to all sessions at the book festival (one or two-day tickets available), subject to space. It’s a lively couple of days packed with readings, discussion, book-signings and performances.

Hear Jackie Kay and Rebecca Brown discussing the use of fact and fiction in their work; or Manda Scott, Val McDermid and Jane Fletcher talking about what goes into writing a series of novels.

Sit back and enjoy the best in performance poetry from Dorothea Smartt, Aoife Mannix, Stacy Makishi and Salena Godden, or wow the audience with your own 5-minute performance at our open-mic sessions.

Enjoy Sandi Toksvig’s amusing talk about her latest book, and American romance writers sharing the secrets of writing about sex.

Take your pick from more than a dozen different ‘happenings’ each day, in a friendly, relaxed environment at a top venue - York Racecourse. You don’t have to be gay, you don’t have to be ‘out’, but it probably helps if you like books!
