WORD! October

October 3rd. 8-11pm (7.30pm if you want to perform), Bambu Bar, Welford Road, Leicester.

This October is a big one for the Leicester WORD! with National Poetry Day, Leicester Ladyfest and World Mental Health Day, all falling within the same month.

Come and see Aoife Mannix get the jump on Ladyfest, while Rob Gee (poet and reformed psychiatric nurse) compeers his heart out for World Mental Health Day. With the night continuing to bring the you the best in all that is spoken, needless to say we’ll be bigging it up for the Poetry Day too. So…that’s three for the price of one, we’ll throw in a raffle and entrance is still FREE!!!

Praise for booked act, Aoife Mannix:

‘Lyrical and admirably free of clutter, Aoife’s poems make a direct appeal to the emotions. This is a poet with a fresh, clear voice.’ Maurice Riordan
